Impulse Control |
My second graders recently participated in a lesson on Impulse Control. We read this book, which I use both at school, and at home with my own kids. I highly recommend it! Afterward, the students helped me make this anchor chart, which is now hanging on our classroom wall. They made me draw myself with a stop sign for the first step. Camden says I'm the "impulse police"! The book gives us this outline:
#1 - Stop
#2 - Think - what can I do about this?
#3 - Decide - Will this make the situation better or worse?
#4 - Choose the right thing to do!
Your children know this language, so feel free to use it at home!
