Simplify
Lately I've really felt the need to SIMPLIFY life. That may mean saying no to things I can get wrapped up in, but might not be all that important. Sometimes it means re-purposing something I have, instead of spending a lot of time shopping for the "perfect" item. Sometimes it means just keeping a thought to myself and choosing peace, rather than getting riled up about a small event that annoyed or hurt me. I'm realizing that it takes a lot of self-control to make choices that simplify. But I never regret it. It opens up my heart to really enjoy my students and my family, and to embrace the sweet and funny moments. These kids I'm around all day are really special and they deserve my full attention. I'd much rather be someone who notices these moments, rather than be so busy or distracted that I can't embrace them.
Trying and failing daily,
